Privacy Statement
When it comes to healthcare, privacy is at the forefront of everyone’s mind. At Urgent London Doctors, we carefully follow The Data Protection Act to ensure our clients are safe in the knowledge that their personal information and privacy is being protected. However, due to the nature of our online services, a few additional privacy concerns must be addressed.
Whenever a client uses our e-pharmacy and e-prescription services, for statistical purposes we obtain the following information: a user’s server address and domain name, the date and time the service is accessed, the pages accessed and the documents downloaded, alongside the referring website and the type of browser used. This information is then used to improve our business and services on an operational level.
Furthermore, clients using our e-prescription and e-pharmacy services will be required to input personal information in order to confirm their identity. Prescriptions cannot be ordered anonymously as we must ensure the safe and legal delivery of prescription-only medications.
Additionally, we maintain a contact database which we access in order to contact our clients about changes made to their treatment and other medically-relevant correspondence. Clinically, patient profiles may be obtained to ensure the medical safety of our clients in relation to prescriptions and treatments. This information is obtained with user consent, and can be maintained by customers themselves, who are able to view and amend information by logging into their account profile.
In all circumstances, no information will be passed on to third parties and all information will be stored on a secure server to ensure privacy laws and procedures are met. In the unlikely event of a criminal investigation, we reserve the right to forward information to law enforcement agencies by order of the court.
